The Veteran Transit Card Program
The difference between a homeless or financially burdened veteran making or missing their medical appointment may be whether or not they have transportation to the VA Medical Center (VAMC). Military Outreach USA conducts a program in the Chicago area to help these men and women. Through the Veteran Transit Card program you can help hundreds of veterans meet their transportation needs in getting to their nearest VA Medical Center. Your donation will help purchase Ventra transit (bus) cards for these veterans. Cards are given to qualified veterans by their VAMC contact or case worker.
How the Veteran Transit Card Program Works
Military Outreach USA, using 100% of your donation, purchases individual $3.00 Ventra transit cards which are then provided to Jesse Brown or Hines VAMC's for distribution to qualified veterans in need. The current need for cards between these two facilities is 600 per month. Make your donation now by clicking on the Ventra card image shown below.
If you can make a $3.00 donation, "Why not consider making that an automatic donation every month?" Project 600 represents those 600 donors who will give $36 a year, at $3.00 a month, to help those veterans who have served our nation.
